WEDNESDAY’S BROADCAST HIGHLIGHTS:
NBA: Memphis at Boston, 7:30 p.m. (NBCSB)

AROUND THE WEB:

-- Derek Jeter was selected to the 2020 MLB Hall of Fame class on Tuesday night, along with Larry Walker, and the MLB world reacted on Twitter.

-- A brawl broke out during Kansas’ 81-60 win over Kansas State on Tuesday night.

The benches emptied late in the game when a Kansas player was trying to dribble out the clock and a Kansas State player stole the ball and tried to finish a layup but a Kansas player came in and fouled him.

The fight spilled into the seating area and punches were thrown. Local police officers helped break up the fight and both teams eventually exited the court.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Today is about the two men who were voted into the MLB HOF. Talk about the other stuff outside the next few days. Derek Jeter was as fun to compete against as any player I faced in 22 years. The wink/smirk we exchanged prior to pitch 1 Gm 7 2001 will be something I never forget.” -- Curt Schilling, in a tweet, after he was not elected to the Hall of Fame this year
