Team USA doesn’t have a game at the 2019 World Junior Summer Showcase in Plymouth, Mich., on Monday.

That’s bad news for the hottest player in red, white and blue, Bruins 2019 first-round pick (No. 30) John Beecher.

The skating god has been lighting it up for Team USA in his attempt to make the U.S. roster for the 2020 World Junior Championship. In two games skating for USA Blue, a win against Sweden on Saturday and a win against Finland on Sunday, he scored three goals and added one assist, impressing many observers, including NHL.com prospects expert Mike Morreale.

Against Sweden, Beecher scored on a breakaway Saturday.

Then he scored twice against Finland on Sunday.

The U.S. will put its Blue and White teams together and get back in action Tuesday against Canada before facing Sweden (Wednesday), Finland (Friday) and Canada again (Saturday).

Beecher will be headed to Michigan to being his collegiate career next month.
