Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask returned to practice Tuesday after he was granted a leave of absence by the team to attend to a personal matter on Friday.

No other details about Rask's time away from the team were revealed.

“We just felt that it was important for us to address that he’ll be away from the team for a few days and if we have an update accordingly, we certainly will," Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said Friday. "But in fairness it would be nice for everybody to respect Tuukka’s privacy at this point.”

Without Rask the Bruins swept a pair of weekend home games, 5-1 over Toronto on Saturday, and 4-1 over Vegas on Sunday. Jaroslav Halak started both halves of the back-to-back and stopped 77 of 79 shots (.975 save percentage).

Rask is 4-4-0 with a 3.05 goals-against average and .901 save percentage this season.
