The Bruins are getting closer to being at full strength.

Defenseman Zdeno Chara (knee) and Kevan Miller (throat), and center Patrice Bergeron (ribs/collarbone) practiced with the full roster Wednesday at Warrior Ice Arena for the first time since they each left the lineup.

Chara has missed 16 games, Bergeron 15 games and Miller 10. None of the three are expected to play against the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.

Although Chara wasn't wearing a red no-contact jersey he wasn't cleared for contact.

“Zee didn’t have a red on but he should’ve but there’s no shirt that fits him. So he is not playing tomorrow, but again it felt good," Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said.

Miller was cleared for contact but not cleared to play in a game until next week.

Bergeron was cleared for contact and could return to the lineup this weekend, when the Bruins host Nashville on Saturday and visit Carolina on Sunday, according to Cassidy.

In addition, defenseman Urho Vaakanainen and forward Jake DeBrusk practiced in red no-contact jerseys. Each is returning from the NHL concussion protocol and progressing well.
