Playing the second half without star Rakim Sanders, who suffered an ankle injury, the Boston College Eagles dropped an 84-80 decision to St. Joseph's University on Friday in the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. BC's Reggie Jackson missed a lay-up with three seconds remaining that would have tied the game. The Eagles (2-1) took a 40-39 lead into the locker room at halftime but were outscored 45-40 in the second 20 minutes, as St. Joe's improved to 3-0. BC plays the loser of Purdue/South Dakota State on Saturday night.
