Some things to distract you as you try to compose yourself for Tuesday, wiping away your tears after watching the Brady thank you farewell video for the 53rd time.

BROADCAST HIGHLIGHT

Super Bowl Classics: Super Bowl 51 - Atlanta Falcons vs. New England Patriots, 9 p.m. EST, NFL Network (don’t care how many times you’ve watched it recently, 28-3 will never get old).

AROUND THE WORLD WIDE OF WEB

Dept. Of "What’s Old Is Awesome Again" checking in: Veteran Boston sports scribe Steve Buckley put together a list of the greatest calls in Boston sports history (we know a thing or two about greatest of lists here). It’s impossible not to get the feels and also remember exactly where you were and who you were with during each classic call. The piece is a must-read for the Boston sports superfan, equal parts stroll down memory lane, oral history and analysis of the broadcasts and signature lines that colored our triumphant memories. Hat Tip to EEI stalwarts Dale Arnold and The Big O for lending their insight.

MISTY WATER COLORED MEMORIES

You probably read, and dealt with your mixed emotions, over Brady’s piece about his latest challenge in The Player’s Tribune. If your glass case of emotion is full, allow me; basically it’s a first-person anecdotal about what Brady’s time in New England meant to him, and what challenges lay ahead, framed conveniently in a sponsor friendly format. Brady, ever the stoic gets you pretty hype for his time in Tampa. And if Ian O’Connor is right about Brady playing till he’s 48, then we could see Brady face the Pats at least two more times before he hangs ‘em up. Can’t handle that prospect right now. All I know is, if his social media video didn’t gut you then this will finish off what’s left of your quarantined self. But still, for what he did for us/you/me, you should give it a look.

OTHER PATS NEWS

ESPN Prognosticator extraordinaire Mike Clay released his NFL roster rankings for 2020 and had the NERVE to say he thought the Patriots had the 27th “best” roster in the NFL. Twenty-seventh? Why not just say sixth-worse, Mike? Personally I find his lack of faith in that veteran secondary, and the legend of Stidham disturbing. BUT, when the tale of the 2020 season is told, and Belichick & McDaniels work their magic, won't this make for a deliciously Old Take Exposed?

BECAUSE YOU NEED THIS

With moves like this, I wouldn’t put it past Belichick to at least request a Zoom conference with the cat. He may be raw, but his ability is off the charts.

BECAUSE YOU DIDN’T REALIZE YOU NEEDED THIS

Like the tweet says, how did it take this long for this amazing photo to reach us? This is basically the 80’s, minus a Delorean, in a frame! I mean, this pic is NEWS to me. But man, is this what SPORTS was all about in the 80’s, or what? Yes, I’ll go to my timeout corner now.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

"You've got to get good habits of working hard so that when that play comes up during the regular season that you're able to complete it and do it the right way." MLB Hall of Famer Al Kaline, who passed away Monday at the age of 85. He was known as “Mr. Tiger”, played 22 years for the same team in Detroit, never played a day in the minors, and was beloved by all who crossed his path. RIP.
