Jaylen Brown out vs. Memphis, Robert Williams won't return before All-Star Game

Kemba Walker will be good to go for Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies. On Tuesday, He had been listed as probable due to left knee soreness, which kept him out of the Celtics’ loss to the Suns.

Jaylen Brown, however, will not be available on Wednesday. He has a right ankle sprain.

“Especially after the Lakers game, we have to continue to strive for that type of game every night, regardless of who’s on the court,” Marcus Smart said after Wednesday’s shootaround.

Romeo Langford will not be among those who help make up for Brown’s absence. He was assigned to the Red Claws on Tuesday.

Robert Williams (left hip bone edema) is the other Celtic stuck on the sideline.

But the big man has made some progress. Williams ran on Tuesday and will do so again on Thursday. Brad Stevens said he will get looked at again on February 4, but Williams will not be back before the All-Star break.
