Add Mike Conley to the list of rumored contingency plans for the Celtics with Kyrie Irving likely leaving town. The Memphis Grizzlies point guard is under contract for two more seasons, though he does have an early termination option for 2020. But he’s probably not using that since he’ll rake in $34.5 million in 2020-21 following the $32.5 million he’ll earn in 2019-20.

Though, the Celtics won’t be the only team going after Conley. Jordan Brenner of The Athletic is reporting Boston will be one of four teams in pursuit of the 31-year-old guard, with the Jazz, Pacers and Pistons being the others.

Their involvement will raise the price for the Celtics, much like what happened throughout the Anthony Davis trade talks, and may make Conley unattainable for Boston.
