Celtics reportedly made an offer on a Pistons forward

The Celtics have now been linked to three Detroit players. First, it was Andre Drummond. Then it was Markieff Morris.

Now it turns out Boston has also spoken with the Pistons about Christian Wood. According to James Edward III of The Athletic, the Celtics made an offer, but Detroit wasn’t interested.

Wood has come into his own with the Pistons this year and is shooting a career-best 37.6% from 3-point territory. One of the reasons acquiring the 6-foot-10 forward is tough: Dwane Casey, Detroit’s head coach, is very high on him.
