After playing catch on Friday, David Price is slated to throw a bullpen on Sunday as he works through his return from left elbow tendinitis.

“We’ll see how that goes and decide what we’re going to do after that,” Alex Cora said.

The Red Sox are slated to host the Rockies for a two-game set starting Tuesday. Chris Sale will start the first game of the series, but Cora is not ready to announce who’ll be on the mound for Wednesday. The nature of Price’s bullpen on Sunday could dictate the way the rotation shapes out going forward.

Nathan Eovaldi and Brian Johnson continued their rehab on Saturday, as well. Eovaldi threw from his knees for the second time since his surgery to remove a loose body in his elbow on April 23. Brian Johnson (left elbow inflammation) threw two 15-pitch simulated innings against Brock Holt and Steve Pearce on Saturday. A decision regarding the lefty will be made next week.

The hope with Holt (right eye, scratched cornea) is to send him to Triple-A Pawtucket on Tuesday as part of his rehab.
