Evan Turner continues to back Celtics, Enes Kanter

Evan Turner hasn’t been a member of the Celtics since 2015-16, yet he continues to be of value to the team.

In an era where NBA players seem to favor an organization based on its star-power above all else, Turner continues to praise one team for every other reason imaginable. Boston.

Now, it probably doesn’t hurt the Celtics revitalized his career and helped him get a sizeable payday from the Trail Blazers. Even still, he earned a decent contract from what he did on the floor — and happened to be one of the many beneficiaries of the initial surge in NBA players’ salaries.

But Turner isn’t just praising the Celtics publicly, he’s telling other players about what it’s like to wear the green. Enes Kanter is a prime example of that.

“I talked to him, actually, before I signed here and he told me amazing things about the organization, about the fan base, about the coaching staff and everything,” Kanter said at the Auerbach Center on Wednesday. “So, it’s pretty awesome.”

And Turner clearly has strong feelings about Kanter.
