Things could get very weird for Kyrie Irving soon.

For a while now, it had been rumored he and Kevin Durant were thinking about teaming up together, likely in New York. Irving was rumored to favor the Nets, Durant the Knicks.

It appears Durant is still interested in the Knicks, though if he goes there, he may not be teaming-up with Irving.

Instead, Durant might be joining Kawhi Leonard.

According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne and Adrian Wojnarowski, the two have been “discussing scenarios that could include a future with them playing together.” According to the report, they would partner up on one of two teams: the Knicks or the Clippers.

For the Celtics’ sake, they better hope the partnership sets up shop in Los Angeles. Otherwise, the Eastern Conference will get significantly tougher once Durant is back on his feet.
