With his latest stint in Boston coming to a close, Tacko Fall was back with the Red Claws on Saturday. The big man had another strong showing, finishing one rebound shy of a double-double in Maine’s 100-93 win over the Grand Rapids Drive (Pistons).

Listen to your team news NOW.

Eight of Fall’s nine boards came on the defensive end. He also blocked five shots after swatting away six the last time he was with Maine.

And while a five-block game is impressive, it can’t be stressed enough that Fall is altering more shots than those five shots. He’s deterring some opponents from even attempting to shoot in the paint when he’s anchoring things down low.

Fall scored his 14 points on 5-for-6 shooting (2-for-3 at the free-throw line).

Tremont Waters almost had as many assists (14) as he did points (17), finishing with a double-double in the win.

Waters went 6-for-15 from the floor (3-for-9 from the perimeter).
