As if Celtics fans didn’t already like Tacko Fall enough, the rookie big man revealed prior to Wednesday’s game against the Spurs that his favorite football team is none other than the New England Patriots. The reason why is fairly simple:

Listen to your team news NOW.

“I’ve become a Patriots fan because they were my first football game. … besides college,” Fall said.

Even though his Patriots fandom is fairly new, Fall knows New England expects to be in the Super Bowl conversation every season. Needless to say, he was disappointed with the result on Wild-Card Weekend.

But, Fall still has nothing but confidence in his favorite football franchise — as well as Tom Brady.

“It’s unfortunate. I thought they were going to win the Super Bowl,” Fall said. “They’re the Patriots. I feel like they’re the best franchise in the NFL. They will figure things out. Tom Brady is the greatest. You can’t knock that. You have good days, bad days, but that doesn’t define him. He knows who he is and I’m sure he’ll work through it and make things happen.”
