Robert Williams has been cleared to play for the Celtics for the first time since December 6. He will have a minutes restriction over the first couple games.

“He had a little extra bounce in his step today,” Brad Stevens said at practice on Friday. “You can tell, he’s been antsy to go for a while.”

Kemba Walker, however, is not expected to play on Saturday. He did not practice on Friday, and Stevens said Walker is unlikely to play against the Rockets.

“The goal is to have (the knee) feeling great. Not just be ready, but feeling great,” Stevens said.  “So when he gets back, you're not doing the back and forth as much.”

Stevens also added, if Walker returns next week, he does not expect the point guard to play both nights of the Celtics' upcoming back-to-back against the Nets and Cavs.

UPDATE: 4:40 P.M. — Walker has offically been ruled out. Williams is probable.
