July 22, 2013 - 12:07 pm

After nearly five hours of baseball Sunday night and into Monday morning, the Red Sox return to Fenway Park to start a four game set against the second-place Rays. After catching all 11 innings of Sunday night's marathon, Jarrod Saltalamacchia will get the day off. Stephen Drew will also sit, adding another right handed bat in the lineup in Brandon Snyder. Jonny Gomes remains in the lineup as the Rays will send lefty Matt Moore (13-3, 3.44) to the mound. Gomes launched a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth off CC Sabathia just a night earlier. Brandon Workman (0-0, 5.40) will make his second career major league start. In his first start against the Oakland Athletics, Workman took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. Workman went 6 1/3 innings while giving up two runs on two hits and striking out five. Moore, has been excellent for the Rays this season and will make his first start of the second half after being selected to the American League All-Star team for the first time in his career. Moore has faced Boston once this season where we went six innings, allowing three runs on three hits and striking out eight Red Sox hitters. For complete team coverage, click here.
