(Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images)[/caption] FOXBORO -- Clete Blakeman will work as the referee for Patriots-Cowboys on Sunday, according to Footballzebras.com. Blakeman has a bit of a history with New England -- he was the lead official in last year's Patriots-Panthers game where a disputed pass interference call at the end of regulation sealed a New England loss, one that caused quarterback Tom Brady to follow Blakeman off the field, cursing much of the way. He was also the alternate official for the 2014 AFC title game between the Patriots and Colts, and is mentioned prominently in the Wells Report as the official who took the air pressure measurements in the footballs before the game. Here's a look at who has worked as the lead official for each New England game this year, and the corresponding penalties for each game, not counting the flags that were offset or declined. Sept. 10 vs. Steelers: Carl Cheffers -- 7 penalties, 64 yards (Pittsburgh -- 8 penalties, 77 yards) Sept. 20 at Bills: Ronald Torbert -- 11 penalties, 119 yards (Buffalo -- 14 penalties, 140 yards) Sept. 27 vs. Jaguars: Walt Coleman -- 4 penalties, 30 yards (Jacksonville -- 7 penalties, 114 yards) For the complete list of referee assignments this week, check out Football Zebras.
