Maybe there is a Mookie Betts deal to be had after all.

With the prospects of getting just one year of control, along with a price tag of around $27 million, it appeared as though clubs might not be motivated enough to give up the kind of players the Red Sox would be looking for in exchange for Betts.

While that still might be the case, at least one team seems to be kicking tires when it comes to such a deal.

Advancement of the talks will hinge on whether or not Cleveland is willing to part with shortstop Francisco Lindor, who has two more years of club control and is slated to make approximately $16 million in 2020.

According to the USA Today report shortstop Corey Seager has been part of the conversations regarding both Lindor and Betts.
