Drake Britton has been recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket to join the Red Sox for Game 2 of their split-doubleheader against the Rays. Britton represents the 26th man, which each team is allowed to add for only the second game of any twin-bill played within one day of the original postponement. Britton, who pitched in 18 games for the Red Sox in 2013, has been working out of the bullpen for the PawSox, totaling a 1.29 ERA in 10 relief outings. The lefty has held left-handed batters to just a .188 batting average (3-for-16), while holding opponents to only five hits in 24 at-bats with runners on base. The Red Sox used three relievers in their 2-1 Game 1 loss to the Rays, with Chris Capuano throwing seven pitches (2/3 innings), Burke Badenhop totaling 13 pitches (inning), and Andrew Millwer making 17 pitches in going an inning. Felix Doubront gets the Game 2 start for the Red Sox.
