Mike Yastrzemski knew he was going to have to make a name for himself in the major leagues. Well, judging by one fan's reaction he's going to get that chance.

Prior to making his big league debut with the Giants Saturday the Andover native, and grandson of Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski, could be found signing autographs. One of the chief reasons the former Vanderbilt star's promotion had gotten so much attention, of course, was due to his iconic last name. Some, however, didn't get the message.

Yastrzemski (pronounced \yuh-STREM-skee\ for those not from this baseball world) started in left field for the Giants, going 0-for-3 in a loss to the Diamondbacks.

"It's something you dream about your whole life,'' the 28-year-old told reporters after his debut. "It was surreal and awesome.''
