FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Joe Kelly Fight Club was no match for the crawfish.

According to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, Kelly's recent back injury was a product of ... cooking cajun food.

The former Red Sox reliever was supposed to pitch against the Indians Wednesday but was scratched due to back stiffness. Roberts announced the cause of the ailment to reporters Friday.

Kelly explained to reporters that the issue came when standing for five hours while putting together a cajun mean for his new teammates.

"Everyone ate it," Kelly told the Los Angeles Times. "There were no leftovers."
