With another lefty on the mound for the opposition, Mitch Moreland starts another game on the bench.

The first baseman gives way to Michael Chavis for a second straight game with Yankees Jordan Montgomery on the mound. Red Sox manager Ron Roenicke said after Thursday night's win that he sat Moreland for the entirety of the victory over the Mets due to discomfort in the 34-year-old's legs. Chavis did come up with a pair of singles.

"Mitch is good," Roenicke said prior to Friday night's game. "I’m sure if we need him tonight he will be in there."

Here is the Red Sox' lineup with Ryan Weber on the mound for the visitors at Yankee Stadium:

Kevin Pillar RF

J.D. Martinez DH

Rafael Devers 3B

Xander Bogaerts SS

Christian Vazquez C

Alex Verdugo LF

Michael Chavis 1B

Jackie Bradley Jr. CF

Jose Peraza 2B
