NEW YORK -- As Alex Cora first noted in his weekly appearance on OMF with Glenn Ordway, Lou Merloni and Christian Fauria, Mookie Betts is back in the Red Sox' lineup, serving as the visitors' designated hitter.

Betts exited Sunday afternoon's game at Fenway Park in the sixth inning with a sore side. He was originally slated to play center field in the series opener between the Red Sox and Yankees but due to weather conditions got another day off.

Eduardo Nunez returns to third base after manning the DH slot Tuesday night. Nunez hadn't played since Thursday when he injured his right knee in an awkward approach to first base.

Here is the rest of the Red Sox' lineup, with David Price on the mound for Cora's club:

Mookie Betts DH

J.D. Martinez RF
Xander Bogaerts SS
Mitch Moreland 1B
Ian Kinsler 2B
