For the third straight game, the Red Sox starting lineup will be without Jackie Bradley Jr.

With righty Aaron Sanchez on the mound for the Blue Jays, Mitch Moreland gets another start in the Red Sox' series opener against the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre Friday night, putting J.D. Martinez back in left field.

Bradley Jr. has been struggling mightily, hitting just .173 with a .528 OPS. Since April 25, the outfielder is just 3-for-39 with 18 strikeouts. Conversely, Moreland has been one of the Red Sox' best hitters, totaling a .325 batting average and 1.025 OPS.

It also marks the 19th time this season Martinez has played in the outfield, which is two more games he has served as the team's designated hitter.

Also of note is the absence of Rafael Devers, who sits with Eduardo Nunez sliding over to third base and Brock Holt getting the start at second base.

Here is the Red Sox' lineup with Chris Sale on the mound for the visitors:

Mookie Betts RF

Andrew Benintendi CF

Hanley Ramirez DH

J.D. Martinez LF

Xander Bogaerts SS

Mitch Moreland 1B

Eduardo Nunez 3B

Brock Holt 2B
