It was one of the best arms in the major leagues against perhaps MLB's fastest runner.

With one out in the fourth inning and Billy Hamilton standing at second base, Whit Merrifield launched a 308-foot fly ball to center field. Jackie Bradley Jr. That's when Hamilton -- one of the Top 10 speediest runners in the game -- made a bad decision.

It was Bradley Jr.'s ninth outfield assist on the season, second in the American League.

The play helped keep the Red Sox within two runs heading into the bottom of the fourth when the hosts evened things up thanks to J.D. Martinez's two-run homer.
