The Red Sox' starting rotation is officially going to look different in 2020.

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic Rick Porcello has agreed to a contract with the Mets. The agreement is pending a physical. Jon Heyman is reporting it is a one-year deal worth $10 million.

Porcello, a New Jersey native, is coming off the worst year of his career, totaling 5.52 ERA over 32 starts. He did, however, manage to top 30 starts for the seventh time in the nine years.

The 30-year-old approached the Red Sox last spring training about an extension, telling the team he would accept what was perceived as a discounted rate at the time. But the Sox showed no interest in getting a deal done, leading Porcello to free agency.
