Now is the time for NFL teams to interview potential head coaches and once again the Patriots coordinators are right in the middle of it.

Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels reportedly has drawn interest from a few teams, while de facto defensive coordinator Brian Flores reportedly has several interviews lined up beginning Friday.

Appearing on Mut & Callahan Friday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter gave the latest on what he's hearing when it comes to these two coaches, and more.

Regarding McDaniels, he reportedly only had two teams reach out -- the Packers and Bengals -- with him agreeing to meet with only Green Bay. Some have speculated the Browns would be a good fit, but Schefter hasn't heard anything on that match yet.

“Cleveland has not put in a slip. He has not expressed any interest in the Cleveland job, so Cleveland is just kind of out there," Schefter said. "Who knows if anything will ever happen there, but there has been nothing from his end and nothing from the Browns end at this time to make you think something is going to happen there. That doesn’t seem to be an option right now. Now, teams sometimes go through interviews and decide, ‘You know what, let’s go take a look at this guy,’ or they change their minds. That hasn’t happened yet.”

When it comes to Flores, Schefter believes he and the Dolphins (Flores is interviewing with them Friday) are a good match.

“I think he is going to get a chance here," he said. "To me, when you break it down and look at it, a team like the Miami Dolphins would make a lot of sense to me on Brian Flores — a lot of sense. I could see them deciding to pursue him aggressively as this process unfolds. That to me would be a potential match in time here.”

Added Schefter: “Nobody from the Miami Dolphins has told me that Brian Flores — it is one of those educated speculation things, which there’s a lot of that on the coaching carousel. … Nobody said this to me from there. The Dolphins would like to take from the Patriots. Chris Grier, the Dolphins GM, is very familiar and impressed with the Patriots’ system. Brian Flores has interviewed for jobs. I could just see it, I could just see it.”

McDaniels and Flores will interview over the weekend and then turn their focus to the AFC divisional round, which the Patriots will begin preparing for on Monday.
