KANSAS CITY -- The following Patriots players are inactive against the Chiefs in the AFC championship: tight end Stephen Anderson, offensive lineman James Ferentz, defensive end Ufomba Kamalu, defensive end Keionta Davis, defensive end Deatrich Wise, defensive tackle Danny Shelton and cornerback Duke Dawson.

All players are healthy scratches, as the team did not have anyone on its final injury report of the week. Wise is a surprise, as it seemed like he would be able to return after missing last week's game against the Chargers. Shelton is a bit of a surprise too, as he had played well against the run after a string of inactives.

Obi Melifonwu is active for the first time since Week 13. He could factor into matching up with Travis Kelce, as well as special teams.

The Patriots and Chiefs will kickoff at 6:40 p.m.
