Listed at 6-foot-6, 350 pounds, Alan Branch likely is a fan of good food, which makes it no surprise he used a 36 oz. steak analogy when discussing Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch.

“When you know you’ve got a 36 oz. steak on your plate, you just want to see if you can eat it all in one go. He’s definitely a load," Branch told reporters in Colorado Springs. "Their offensive line is one of the best in the league, for sure. I am excited about playing them. It’s a great team and if you want to be a great player you want to play against the best.”

Added Branch: “I haven’t played against him since the Super Bowl, so definitely excited about playing him. When you’re a defensive lineman who prides himself on stopping the run, you always want to play against the best. He’s definitely been one of the best in the last decade.”

Lynch has 86 carries for 323 yards and four touchdowns in his first season in Oakland.

Branch popped up on the injury report with a neck injury this week, but he expects to play Sunday.

“Everybody gets a little crick in their neck every once in a while, but I still practiced the stuff that pertained to me,” Branch said. “I really didn’t miss much.”
