Taylor filed a civil lawsuit in Florida last week accusing Brown of sexual assault and rape.

Brown had until last Sunday to reach a settlement and once that didn't happen, the suit was filed on Tuesday. The report adds settlement discussions began in April and the pair also had two mediation sessions, including one in May.

The NFL is set to meet with Taylor on Monday as it begins its investigation.

Brown will make his Patriots debut against the Dolphins on Sunday afternoon.
