Could there be a reunion between the Patriots and Aqib Talib?

According to ESPN's Dianna Russini, there have been trade talks between the Broncos and 49ers regarding Talib, which don't appear to be progressing. The report adds the cornerback would prefer to be released by the team so he could choose his next one, and his top choice would be the Patriots.

Talib spent some of 2012 and 2013 in New England where he totaled five interceptions.

The 32-year-old played in 15 games last year and finished with one interception. Talib and the Broncos did not have a good relationship this past season. He has two more years left on his deal with base salaries of $11 million in 2018 and $8 million in 2019.

New England could be in need for a cornerback to team up with Stephon Gilmore and replace Malcolm Butler.
