Nathan Eovaldi will likely be one of the most sought after players during free agency and one of the Red Sox' biggest competitors appears to be very interested.

According to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, the Astros are continuing to show interest in the right-handed pitcher. It's also worth noting Eovaldi is from Texas.

After coming to the Red Sox from the Rays during the season, Eovaldi went 3-3 with a 3.33 ERA in 12 appearances (11 starts), but he's most known for his performance in the postseason. In six appearances (four starts) he went 2-1 with a 1.61 ERA.

The 28-year-old has received interest as both a starter and a closer, but it's likely he will remain a starter.
