It was a busy Tuesday for the Patriots following their 33-0 win over the Jets, as they got right into their preparations for the Browns, but not before taking care of some other matters.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Early in the morning, the team reportedly swung a trade for Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, giving up a second-round pick in exchange for the veteran. While the move hasn't officially been announced by the team, appearing on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria, Bill Belichick spoke on his potential role, thus acknowledging the trade.

“Well, I think we are working through that. We’ll put him in and see how it goes," he said. "He’s a talented player. He’s got a lot of experience. He’s done different things, so we’ll see how it all fits for us.”

As for the rumors the team had been targeting wide receivers, Belichick said he leaves all that to director of player personnel Nick Caserio.

“Nick does most of that," he said. "… I talk to him when things get I would say relevant. There is a lot of talk. That is part of football.”

In other news, defensive end Michael Bennett did not play in Monday's game since he was suspended, but according to the league wire, his suspension was lifted on Tuesday.

So, will he report to the facility when the Patriots return to work Wednesday?

“(I) expect him to," Belichick said.

The coach seemed to indicate the opportunity is there for his role to increase following playing a season-low 11 snaps against the Giants in Week 6 before being suspended for getting into a disagreement with his position coach Bret Bielema.

“Yeah. Right now we just got through the Jets game and we’ll get onto Cleveland and see how it all comes together," he said.

The Patriots will host the 2-4 Browns, who are coming off their bye, Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.
