The Patriots may need to go to Plan C or D if they plan on trading for a wide receiver.

It appears like Stefon Diggs will not be dealt by the Vikings and then it appears A.J. Green will be staying in Cincinnati.

Speaking to reporters Thursday, coach Zac Taylor made it clear Green will not be traded.

With the Patriots not activating Benjamin Watson this week, they saved around $2 million against the cap, which means they now have roughly $3.7 million to work with.

Given the state of the passing game, it would not be a surprise in the least to see the team make a deal before the Oct. 29 deadline.
