By now everyone is aware Rob Gronkowski potentially could be suspended for his late hit on Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White.

Speaking on a conference call Monday morning, Bill Belichick was asked how important it is for the coaching staff to know Gronkowski's status before they work on the game plan for next Monday night in Miami.

"Well, I’d say on anything that is out of our control, such as injuries that could go down to pregame workouts and so forth, things that are out of our control are out of our control," Belichick said. "We’ll address the things that we can address."

The coach was also asked if he had anything else to say about the hit after reviewing it on tape.

"No, I think Rob addressed it," Belichick said. "I don’t have anything else to add."

Belichick also didn't have anything to say about whether or not he's asked the league about penalties called against Gronkowski over the years.

"Well, no, I’m not going to talk about any of the personal calls I’ve had with league officials, whether it’s Al [Riveron], or Dean [Blandino], or Mike [Pereira], or Carl [Johnson] or whoever it’s been through the years," he said. "I mean, Rob’s been in the league for seven years and Brady has been in the league a lot longer than that."

Word on whether or not Gronkowski will be suspended likely will come at some point on Monday.
