FOXBORO -- The Patriots added wide receiver Kenny Britt this week following his release from the Browns recently.

Britt played nine games this season with the Browns, tallying 18 catches for 233 yards and two touchdowns. That marked a big drop off from his career season in 2016 with the Rams, when he hauled in 68 receptions for 1,002 yards and five touchdowns.

As for his impact with the Patriots, Bill Belichick didn't have much to say on Friday.

"He’s been a productive player in this league," he said. "We’ll see how it goes."

Added Belichick: "We’ll see. It’s only been a couple days, so we’ll see how it goes."

Belichick did acknowledge at 6-foot-3, Britt is now the biggest receiver the Patriots have. If he can learn the playbook, it would seem he can make an impact in the passing game outside the numbers.

It remains to be seen whether or not he will be active on Sunday against the Steelers.
