News of the NFL suspending Rob Gronkowski one game came down as Bill Belichick was on Dale and Holley with Keefe for his weekly interview, but the coach didn't have much of an initial reaction.

"No. That is their announcement," he said. "A lot of times these get appealed -- whether it does or doesn't, I don't know. When it is finalized, it is finalized and that is what it will be."

Gronkowski reportedly is appealing and Belichick noted the appeal process is generally pretty quick.

"It's 24 hours, something like that," he said. "It's a short process. Just what happened last week with Aqib [Talib] and [Michael] Crabtree. It's two games one day and it was one game [after] the appeal. So it would be a similar -- that type of a timeframe, as I understand it."

If the suspension holds, Gronkowski will miss Monday's game in Miami against the Dolphins, but return for the big Week 15 matchup in Pittsburgh.
