Bill Belichick has something in common with most Patriots fans -- he isn't a huge fan of night games.

The Patriots played their fourth primetime game in five games Sunday night against the Packers and do not have any more night games remaining on the schedule (unless a future game gets flexed).

Appearing on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria Monday, Belichick praised his team for the way they prepared on a short week for such a tough team and noted he's pleased not to have any more night games left.

“It is nice not to play at night, absolutely," he said. "The night games kill you. They get you the next day, and really it takes you a couple of days to get by them. Four out of the last five, but the schedule is what it is and for every long week there’s a short week and so whenever we play we just have to be ready to go. They are hard. I thought our team did a great job this week. I told them that after the game. I thought they did a great job coming off the Monday night game on the road and facing Green Bay, which is a hard team to prepare for. Very hard to prepare for. With less time and less opportunity I thought they really worked hard all week and obviously last night. It’s good.”

It was observed that Belichick appeared relieved at the podium following the game just to be done with the Packers, and Belichick didn't dispute that claim.

“Yeah, oh my god," he said. "Look, I don’t think think they are saying we wish we had the Patriots twice a year, either. It is a tough game and I am glad we don’t have them twice a year. They are hard to prepare for and they are really good. They are good on defense, too. They did a real good job of mixing it up on defense and changing and game-planning things that were challenging. It’s what it was. It was a good football game. They are a tough team. It was similar to when we played them four years ago out there, just fortunately the ball bounced a little more our way last night than it did in Green Bay four years ago, but that’s the kind of game it was.”

The Patriots will now travel to Tennessee next Sunday before their bye week.
