Jaylen Brown is still on is rookie deal and he hasn't heard from the Celtics in regards to a potential extension.

Listen to your team news NOW.

"I haven’t heard from them,” Brown told Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal. “The ball is in their court.”

The Celtics rarely offer contracts to players coming off their rookie deals and wait for them to hit free agency, but Brown could be different as he seems to be a major part of their future plans. Given his talent, he could look to get a deal in the range of what Ben Simmons and Jamal Murray got this offseason, which were max deals.

This coming year will be Brown's final season in his rookie deal where he's scheduled to earn $6.53 million.

In his third NBA season, Brown averaged 13 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
