As expected, the Red Sox are taking it relatively slow with Dustin Pedroia so he will sit in Friday's series opener against the Orioles.

The second baseman was activated on Tuesday for the home opener, the team was off on Wednesday and then he started again on Thursday. Eduardo Nunez will get the start at second base in his place.

Other than that, it's a pretty standard lineup going up against Orioles right-hander David Hess.

Christian Vazquez will catch Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez.

Here's the complete Red Sox lineup.

Andrew Benintendi, LF

Mookie Betts, RF

Mitch Moreland, 1B

J.D. Martinez, DH

Xander Bogaerts, SS

Rafael Devers, 3B

Eduardo Nunez, 2B

Jackie Bradley Jr., CF

Christian Vazquez, C

Eduardo Rodriguez, LHP
