Jackie Bradley Jr. will start Friday night on the bench as the Red Sox open a three-game series with the Astros in a rematch of the ALCS.

The Red Sox center fielder is batting .153/.257/.186 with seven RBIs on the year and his absence is interesting considering the Red Sox are facing a right-hander in Gerrit Cole.

Mookie Betts will play center field, while J.D. Martinez will play right.

With Sandy Leon on paternity leave, Christian Vazquez will catch Red Sox starter Rick Porcello.

Here's the complete Red Sox lineup.

Andrew Benintendi, LF

Mookie Betts, CF

J.D. Martinez, RF

Mitch Moreland, 1B

Xander Bogaerts, SS

Rafael Devers, 3B

Michael Chavis, 2B

Christian Vazquez, C

Eduardo Nunez, DH

Rick Porcello, RHP
