It will be tough for the Red Sox to carry three catchers on their Opening Day roster, so it's no surprise to hear that the team is looking to trade one away.

Although Blake Swihart's name has come up a bunch, according to ESPN, the Red Sox are actively discussing possible trades of Sandy Leon. It is worth noting this will be challenging because of his $2.47 million salary this year.

Christian Vazquez is the other Red Sox catcher.

More known for his defense, Leon has been with the Red Sox since 2015 and is a career .229 hitter with the team.

The Red Sox open the regular season in Seattle a week from Thursday.
