Sunday's scrimmage for the Celtics went much better than Friday's.

After falling to the Thunder in their first of three scrimmages in Orlando, the Celtics beat the Suns, 117-103, in a good bounce back effort.

The team will take on the Rockets Tuesday in the final tune-up before the restart officially gets going Friday when the Celtics take on the Bucks.

Here are three quick takeaways from the game.

Kemba Walker returns

The All-Star did not play Friday due to a sore knee, but he was on the court Sunday. Walker played nine minutes and finished with six points and one rebound, while going 2-for-6 from the field. Playing such limited minutes is different for him, but he knows it's all part of the process. “Yeah it felt good,” Walker said to reporters after the game. “I would love to just play and not care about no minutes restrictions or anything of that nature but obviously I can’t. I got to be smart about things. ... It just is what it is. I want to be there for my teammates when we are in the playoffs. Hopefully, by then, the restrictions and things of that nature are completely off.”

Jaylen Brown impresses

Brown was the best player on the court, as he finished with a team-high 21 points on 7-for-13 shooting, including 3-for-6 from three-point range and 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. He was doing it all as he was hitting his outside shots, as well as being aggressive in taking the ball to the basket to get to the line. Brown seemed to be the only player who wasn't rusty Friday and his impressive play continued Sunday.

Stars finding their form

After not a great showing Friday against the Thunder, many of the Celtics starters had good bounce back efforts. Gordon Hayward finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes of action, while Jayson Tatum added 16 points, nine rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes. The team seems to be in a good spot heading into the final days before taking on the Bucks.
