Alex Cora on OMF reacts to David Price tweeting about Dennis Eckersley
David Price's history with Dennis Eckerlsey is well-documented and it resurfaced on Wednesday.
Price responded to a tweet that referenced Eckerley's comments on Price in a recent Boston Globe feature.
“I didn’t know how to deal with that,” Eckersley said in the piece. “I don’t plan on saying a word to him, I don’t plan on seeing him, never. I don’t really give a (expletive) one way or another. I don’t think he really cares one way or the other.”
Here are Price's responses:

I had a meeting set up to apologize to him and he backed out that day. Get your facts right...

Because ECK needs attention!! Same as every broadcast...hahah 8 pitches are thrown and he’s sitting there talking about something he did 30 years ago (with zero mention of what’s going on)

Appearing on Ordway, Merloni & Fauria, manager Alex Cora was asked about the tweets, but noted he was not around when the initial incident took place, although he did say he spoke to Price about his tweets from Wednesday.
“When I got here somebody asked me about that story and I wasn’t here when it happened," Cora said. "I talked to David this morning and how he feels about it. We’re going to keep it between ourselves. At the same time, if we’re going to turn the page we have to turn the page.”
He added: “I do feel it is not going to be a distraction. I really believe that. I know my clubhouse. I know how I do things in the clubhouse. The only thing that we have to do is play baseball.”
Cora said he hasn't spoken to Eckersley about it and doesn't feel like he needs to.
“I already talked to David and I know where we stand," he said. "That is the only thing I have to do.”
