Over the past week or so, the Dez Bryant-Patriots rumors have picked up, especially following the release of Eric Decker.

But, it doesn't seem like it will be happening, at least in the short-term.

On Twitter Tuesday, in response to a fan, Bryant wrote, "I just have to take care of me first" and "I will play ball this year just might be a lil bit later in the year."

Bryant later added: "I want to be right ... that's my focus right now ... life is great over here."

It wouldn't be a surprise to see the wide out sign with a team after Week 1 when a contract would no longer be guaranteed.

As it relates to the Patriots, they likely will still be keeping their eye on potential receiver additions given the current state of the roster.
