Rookie cornerback Jonathan Jones was present at the session after missing Tuesday's practice. His absence was unknown as there was no injury report, but there will be one on Wednesday. Dion Lewis was present for the fifth straight practice, which could be a sign the team is ready to activate him for Sunday's game against the Seahawks. The Patriots have until next Thursday to activate him from the PUP list, or else he reverts back to injured reserve. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett was on the field without a helmet, which could indicate the team may make him their player to come off injured reserve during the season. He was placed on injured reserve after Week 4 with a thumb injury, but has been more visible around the team of late. New England now has an open spot on the practice squad as defensive tackle Anthony Johnson was signed to the Jets' active roster, according to Rand Getlin.
