Dion Lewis made national headlines Sunday when following the Titans' blowout win over the Patriots, he called out his former organization.

“Hell yeah, it’s personal,” he said. “When you go cheap, you get your ass kicked.”

Lewis added: “I didn’t have to prove anything. I know I can play. I just had to let our team know that these guys are beatable. … I know those guys. I know that you be physical with them and let ’em have it and they’ll fold.”

On Wednesday, he clarified his comments when speaking to reporters in Tennessee.

“I’m a feisty guy, everybody knows that,” Lewis said. “I have to be that way, I’m [5-foot-7]. So I have to carry an edge or chip, so that’s just how I am and that’s what’s gotten me to where I am. So it’s nothing personal, that’s just the type of person I am, the player I am.”

Almost every Patriot who has addressed the comments said he was just fired up and haven't taken them personally.

But, that might change if the two teams were to meet in the playoffs...
