FOXBORO -- There may not a better person to ask about Josh Gordon's progress with the Patriots than Dolphins coach Adam Gase.

Gase and Miami faced the Patriots in Week 4, which was Gordon's first game as a member of the team. Gordon played 18 out of 81 snaps and finished with two catches for 32 yards.

Speaking to the New England media ahead of Sunday's game on a conference call Wednesday, Gase said he's noticed how much different Gordon looks now compared to then.

“He’s more comfortable,” Gase said. “He knows the offense better than what he knew it that week, you know, he seems like he’s healthy. I mean, I don’t know, you know I’m sure everybody in the NFL is banged up a little bit. I know he was coming off an injury at that time. He’s a tough guy to defend. He can catch the ball at all levels, he can stretch the field, he can work underneath and in the quick game. He makes some incredible catches. He’s just a tough guy to deal with.”

Since the bye week, Gordon has caught the last eight passes thrown his way for 128 yards and a touchdown.

In his nine games as a member of the team, he has 34 receptions for 605 yards and three touchdowns.
