FOXBORO -- The Patriots held their second practice of the week on the upper grass fields behind Gillette Stadium in cold, windy conditions on Wednesday.

There was only one player missing in tight end Dwayne Allen. He's reportedly expected to miss a few games and is on crutches after sustaining an injury against the Titans. Rex Burkhead, who was late to practice Tuesday, was present Wednesday.

The team will be off Thursday for Thanksgiving before practicing one final time on Friday. New England will take on the Jets Sunday afternoon.

Later in the day will be the first injury report of the week.
