Former NFL offensive lineman Mitch Petrus died Thursday night in Arkansas due to heat stroke, according to Pulaski County Coroner Gerone Hobbs.

Petrus, 32, played three seasons in the NFL and spent time with the Giants, Titans and Patriots after playing collegiately at Arkansas. He was selected in the fifth round of the 2010 draft by the Giants and won a Super Bowl with the team.

Hobbs added Petrus had worked outside all day at his family shop and that likely contributed to him suffering heat stroke.
